A man was arrested early Saturday after allegedly flashing a gun, then barricading himself inside a unit of the Norman Blumberg Apartments in North Philadelphia.
Witnesses told police that several women were fighting in the eighth-floor hallway of the housing project at 1516 Judson Way around 1:45 a.m., when the man came out of his apartment and pointed a gun at them.
The man then went back inside and refused to answer the door, police said. The situation was declared a barricade, drawing a response from Philadelphia police SWAT teams and Philadelphia Housing Authority officers.
Investigators were able to enter the apartment and take the man into custody shortly before 2:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.
The suspect's identity was not released Saturday. It wasn't immediately clear what charges he would face.
