Former Pa. Revenue Dept. supervisor charged with sexual harassment

A former Pennsylvania Department of Revenue supervisor was arrested Monday for allegedly repeatedly sexually harassing a female employee over a two-year period.

A former Pennsylvania Department of Revenue supervisor was arrested Monday for allegedly repeatedly sexually harassing a female employee over a two-year period.

Capitol police took Albert Forlizzi II into custody in Harrisburg. He is charged with aggravated indecent assault, official oppression, stalking, indecent exposure and unlawful restraint.

A Revenue Department spokeswoman said Forlizzi worked for 14 years at the Bureau of Collections and Taxpayer Services, most recently serving as district administrator of the Harrisburg office. There, Forlizzi allegedly began making unwanted advances toward the employee in November 2011, shortly after she was transferred into his department. Investigators said the conduct continued through this past August.

The victim told police "she felt all alone and was afraid to speak up for fear of losing her job," according to a release from Dauphin County District Attorney Edward Marsico. The woman said when she tried to resist Forlizzi's advances, he would tell her, "Remember, I'm the one who saved your job. You owe me." The victim's coworkers described a "hostile" work environment under Forlizzi and said he "often intimidated employees by bragging about knowing people in high places and how he has had others fired or arrested," the release stated.

A Revenue Department spokeswoman said Forlizzi "separated from the Commonwealth" Sept. 30 but declined to comment further on the investigation. Forlizzi's preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
