Homeless man shot dead in Coatesville is ID'd

A homeless man found shot to death Friday in Coatesville has been identified as a 24-year-old from Pottstown, according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office. Alex Hartzell's body was discovered around 6 a.m. Friday in a backyard of a home in the 600 block of E. Diamond Street, according to police. He had been shot several times.

The Coatesville Police Department and Chester County Detectives are offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the conviction of the shooter.
