Two teenagers were shot and injured early Saturday while attending a graduation party in Nicetown, police said.
One victim, 18, had just arrived at the party on Rowan Street, near Germantown Avenue, about 12:35 a.m., police said, when he heard gunshots and then noticed he was hit twice in his upper right back. He ran and collapsed on the steps of a house on Rowan Street.
The other victim, also 18, had already been at the party and was outside near the 1900 block of Rowan talking to a friend when he heard a gunshot from Germantown Avenue and then realized he had been grazed by a bullet in his left middle finger, police said.
Amid the chaos, he ran west on Rowan while others at the party also scattered, police said.
Police transported the first victim to Temple University Hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.
The second victim was taken by private vehicle to Einstein Medical Center, where he was treated and released, police said.
The victims were unable to give any description on the shooter or shooters. No arrest has been made.
