Police are asking for help finding the suspect who attacked a 69-year-old man in Center City and stole his wallet.

Police on Thursday released surveillance video from the Tuesday evening incident. The video shows the assailant approach the victim, who was walking west on the 1300 block of Locust Street just before 10:45 p.m., then shove him to the ground and flee with the man's wallet.

Police said the assailant had asked the victim for money, then assaulted him when the victim took out his wallet to give the suspect a dollar.

The victim's suffered cuts and bruises to he head when he was thrown to the ground.

The suspect was described as a white man, about 30 years old, 5-feet, 10-inches tall and 160 pounds. He had blue eyes, short brown hair and was wearing a brown shirt and gray sweatpants.
