A Lansdale woman was arrested Tuesday for shaking her 6-month-old baby.
Tykia Fitch, 35, was charged with assault and other crimes for a September 2014 incident that left her baby in critical condition, police said.
Fitch called 911 on Sept. 10 and said her baby was unresponsive, police said. The baby was transported to Grandview Hospital and then to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where he was in critical condition.
Doctors told police the baby's injuries showed signs of a pattern of shaking.
The baby was placed in another home with the help of Children Youth Services, police said.
Fitch was arraigned Tuesday and held at $100,000 cash bail.
