Bensalem is named as good place to live by Money

BENSALEM Bensalem Township was recently named one of the 50 best places to live in the country for 2014 by Money Magazine. It was the only municipality in Pennsylvania to earn the distinction.

The rankings, which this year focused on municipalities that have between 50,000 and 300,000 residents, are developed using data about housing, jobs, location, schools, and other factors, according to the list's authors.

Bensalem was ranked No. 46 and earned praise for its numerous attractions, from Parx Casino and Racetrack to the TD Bank Ampitheater, and its proximity to state parks.

Dawn Davis, Bensalem's manager of community affairs, said the distinction "is certainly a feather in our cap."

"We're a 21-square-mile [community], and within that 21 square miles we have so much to offer," she said.
