Thelma Brown, 69, who was injured in the carjacking crash Friday that killed three children, was released Wednesday from Hahnemann University Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Brown suffered a broken ankle and bruised sternum when a carjacked SUV veered out of control and crashed Friday at Germantown and Allegheny Avenues, killing 15-year-old Keiearra Williams, 10-year-old Thomas Joseph Reed, and 7-year-old Terrence Moore.
Their mother, Keisha Williams, 34, remained in critical condition at Temple University Hospital. Also injured was a 45-year-old woman who was the carjacking victim. Brown, the children, and their mother were at the North Philadelphia corner selling fruit to raise money for a neighborhood playground when a Toyota 4Runner crashed into them. - Robert Moran
