A 41-year-old Bucks County man has been charged with criminal homicide in the stabbing death of his girlfriend Saturday in Falls Township.

Samuel Funk Jr. 41, was taken into custody yesterday afternoon outside the Edgely Inn in Bristol Township, where police had found the victim's 2001 Ford Explorer parked. Under questioning, Funk said he had argued Saturday with his girlfriend, Jacqueline Goulding, struck her several times and stabbed her in the chest as they fell struggling to the floor of her apartment, police said.

Funk told police he removed the knife from Goulding's chest and fled in her vehicle, police said. Goulding, 36, was found dead Saturday night inside her residence at the Aspen Falls Apartments in Fairless Hills.

Funk was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jan Vislosky this morning and sent to the Bucks County prison, where he is being held without bail.
