Girl Scout's killer gets 20-40 years

FRANKLIN, Pa. - A man was sentenced yesterday to 20 to 40 years in prison for the kidnap- murder of an 11-year-old Girl Scout more than 14 years ago.

Eldred "Ted" Walker, 47, pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and kidnapping in September 2005, saying he snatched Shauna Howe off an Oil City street in 1992 as a prank.

He said he then handed her off to brothers James and Timothy O'Brien, who are serving life terms for her murder. *
