Fishing Derby

Linvilla Orchards has stocked its pond with more than 1,000 fish for this family event. Prizes will be awarded for the first golden trout caught in each age category: under 7, 8-11, 12-16, and 17 and older. One fish will be tagged for a $100 prize, with other fish tagged for additional prizes. Bring your own rod or rent one. Bait can be purchased on site.

Easter Egg Hunt

Babies and children through sixth grade are invited to take part in an outdoor Easter egg hunt. Pastor Lin George will share the story of Easter with the children and then they will be off to find the treat-filled Easter eggs hidden in the churchyard. Maeve Donnelly and Tony McManus

Fiddler Maeve Donnelly will perform traditional Irish music from her native country. Tony McManus will accompany Donnelly and re-create centuries-old Irish melodies on his acoustic guitar. The concert is part of the Coatesville Traditional Irish Music series. City vs. Suburbs B-ball Benefit

A high school basketball event pits 64 high school seniors in two city vs. suburbs all-star games. A girls' game takes place first, followed by a game between the boys' teams. The event also includes an exhibition game between representatives from the local media and a team of organized labor workers from Philadelphia. The All Star Labor Classic will include prize giveaways as well as performances by area cheerleaders and dance teams.
