Jumping rope at about 120 to 160 rotations per minute for just 6 minutes will torch more calories than 20 minutes of jogging.

Jumping rope at about 120 to 160 rotations per minute for just 6 minutes will torch more calories than 20 minutes of jogging.

Make sure that your rope is the right length: When you stand in the middle of it with one foot and pull the handles up, they should touch the top of your armpits. Then, with your feet just an inch or two apart, swing the rope over your body and jump just an inch off the ground, landing on the balls of both feet. Repeat.

Jump continuously for as long as you can, shooting for 6 to 10 minutes. It's a lot harder than it looks. Don't give up!
