It’s a party in white as Dîner en Blanc sets up outside City Hall
Thousands of guests decked out in a classy, head-to-toe ensemble of all-white gathered in Center City for Philadelphia's annual Dîner en Blanc on Thursday evening. The location for this year's posh picnic — which, per usual, was not revealed until the day of the event — was Dilworth Park, allowing guests to gaze up at Billy Penn while dining al fresco

Marking the 30th anniversary of the international affair, Philly's Dîner en Blanc often draws as many as 30,000 people to register in a lottery ticketing system. (Those who've attended the exclusive party in years past get to skip the waiting list.)
This year, 5,500 seats were available, creating the largest Dîner en Blanc the city has ever held. In tradition, guests who managed to land one of the $51 tickets were required to bring their own white chairs, tables, and tablecloths.
Many also brought a picnic basket full of food, while others had a purchased three-course meal from Feast Your Eyes Catering. The made-for-Instagram event is expected to return next fall.
