Must-haves of famous folk

Abbi Jacobson is the Wayne-born and -raised star of Comedy Central's fantastic Broad City. Much like her character on the screamingly funny, and often surreal, sitcom, Jacobson is an artist. Earlier this week, she released her first illustrative work, Carry This Book, on Penguin Random House.

Carry This Book features Jacobson's fun re-creations of what she believes famous people carry around in their bags. Marilyn Monroe has a Joe DiMaggio baseball card. Donald Trump has self-tanner, a Building Walls for Dummies book, and a list of pocket mantras ("You are a genius," "You are extremely well-endowed," "Banktruptcy is the new black"). Albert Einstein's includes both a dream journal and a petition for cousins to get hitched.

Jacobson's drawings are colorful, and show the same sense of humor that she exhibits on the show. Hopefully, the book will keep you sated with her type of humor until Broad City returns for a fourth season. - M.E.

Carry This Book, $25, Penguin Random House.
