Buy a full or half-share from a local farm or farmers co-op at the beginning of the season for access to fresh local produce. Most CSAs also offer meat and poultry by special order.

This is the best way to support local farms and growers. Most are seasonal, starting in late spring and running through late fall. Market hours vary.

There are year-round markets in Chestnut Hill, at the Piazza in Northern Liberties, Rittenhouse Square and Suburban Station, and at the Fair Food Farmstand in Reading Terminal Market.
