Councilman Kenyatta Johnson appointed a 16-member Diversity Oversight Board to monitor commitments by the developers of the $450 million Live! Hotel & Casino in South Philadelphia.
Councilman Kenyatta Johnson appointed a 16-member Diversity Oversight Board to monitor commitments by the developers of the $450 million Live! Hotel & Casino in South Philadelphia.
The committee's mission is make sure the casino developers use businesses owned by minorities and women for a certain percentage of contracts during construction and after the casino opens.
A City Council zoning hearing for the site is scheduled for Monday.
