Logistics firm Worldwide Express moving to Navy Yard from Center City

Worldwide Express is moving its Philadelphia office from Center City to the 1200 Intrepid Ave. office building in the Navy Yard business park being developed by Liberty Property Trust.

The logistics firm has leased 4,600 square feet of the 92,000-square-foot, four-story building designed by Denmark's Bjarke Ingels Group architecture firm, Wayne-based Liberty said in a release Thursday. In relocating from 2000 Market St., Worldwide Express, will join existing tenants Penn
Capital Management Co., EMD Performance Materials, Paramount Enterprises International Inc. and Insperity Inc.

The Navy Yard building, recognizable by its sloping white facade, opened in mid-2016. Worldwide's lease brings the building's occupancy to 75 percent.
