The represented a 17.81 percent increase over July 2009, the state said.
The casinos gross revenue was $211 million from slot machine play.
For the eight casinos open at least a full year, there was a 5.26 percent increase last month over the comparable period.
"It is too early to gauge a trend, but Pennsylvania casinos have indicated they have experienced a significant increase in the number of visitors since table games were rolled out in mid-July," Kevin O'Toole, Gaming Control Board executive director, said in a release. - Roslyn Rudolph
