Thanks to the Eagles' Super Bowl win, the 2018 NFL Kickoff Experience is coming to Philly this year, free Shawn Mendes concert and all.

"It was a great experience being in Philadelphia for the draft last year," said Peter O'Reilly, the senior vice president of NFL events. "And when the NFL comes to town for Kickoff, fans are very happy, because it means they won the Super Bowl."

The NFL will be transforming the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing into a free full-day festival to celebrate the Eagles. The festival will open at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6, and run until 8 p.m., so fans have plenty of time to relocate in order to watch the first game of the regular season between the Eagles and the Atlanta Falcons. Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy interactive games, check out the entire collection of Super Bowl rings, pose for pictures with the Eagles' Lombardi Trophy, and enter contests for tickets to Super Bowl LIII and the Eagles game that night. There will also be an autograph booth, a tent where you can purchase Bud Lights, and an NFL play zone where kids can try on football gear and test out their passing skills.

Before Mendes takes the stage, which will be in the northeast corner of the Market Street parking lot, at 6 p.m., country duo Locash will perform at 3 p.m. and pop star Daya at 4. The NFL will  also host a rewatch party of Super Bowl LII at noon.

Although the event will be free and you can just show up, fans are encouraged to register online for a Fan Mobile pass. All attendees will go through security screening, although a clear bag policy will not be enforced. One lane on Columbus Boulevard will also be closed in the days leading up to the event. The usual game day festivities will be going on at the Linc, as well, but fans without tickets to the game are encouraged to attend the party at Penn's Landing. (The game itself will not be shown at the event.)

"We couldn't be more proud to kick off the season here in Philadelphia," said Brian Papson, the Eagles' vice president of marketing. "Eagles fans are the most passionate out there, and we can't wait for them to bring their passion to kickoff."
