Fresh out of the oven, still gooey and warm.
Fresh out of the oven, still gooey and warm.
For an opening: The newest bar, U-Bahn (1320 Chesnut St.), an underground clubhouse, officially opens at 4 p.m. today. Come for beer (18 taps will be pouring local drafts), food (like house-made pickles, cheese boards and snacks) and entertainment (Brian LaPann and DJ Ben Arsenal will perform). Oh, and arcade games!
For British brews: The Victoria Freehouse (10 S. Front St.) is offering $5 pours of Old Cask Imports from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
For a pairing: Pop Up Yoga Philly comes to the Big Blue Marble Bookstore (551 Carpenter Ln.) for an evening of yoga set to music and poetry starting at 7 p.m. Update: This event has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 26 at 7 p.m.
For culture: The Curtis 20/21 Ensemble comes to the Kimmel Center's SEI Innovation Studio (Broad and Spruce Streets) for a casual, intimate performance of Stravinsky's "A Soldier's Tale" with narration from local poet and performing artist Jacob Winterstein. The performance begins at 8 p.m.
For laughs: Philly Improv Theater's (2030 Sansom St.) house team, The Flat Earth, bring a new scripted show "Repetition Generale" to the stage at 9 p.m. ahead of their Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival appearance.
