For the love of the beautiful game, and our local soccer team, there's a new documentary that chronicles the building of the Philadelphia Union franchise, and more importantly the supporters behind it. The film will debut at the Trocadero (1003 Arch St.) on Wednesday, June 10.

The documentary, titled Sons of Ben: The Movie, follows the Union's ever-so-faithful fans, the Sons of Ben, and tells their story of how it all started – from creating a supporters' group before the team even existed to playing a big role in philanthropic efforts to the Chester community.

Before the screening, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., guests can treat themselves to a free happy hour provided by Yards Brewery. After that the lights will dim and the documentary will play.

Following the viewing, there's an after-party until midnight with live music, drinks, food, and a photo booth. The after-party is 21 and up, but the screening is all ages.

A portion of the night's proceeds go towards the Chester City United. In addition, the Sons of Ben have agreed to match the film's donation.
