Yamitsuki: Ramen (and Iron Man!) in Chinatown

That's a full-size "Hulkbuster" suit of armor in the entryway.

Two Chinatown players - Jack Chen (Sakura Mandarin, A La Mousse) and Kenny Poon (TeaDo/Tango/Chinatown Square) - have teamed up with Nom Nom Ramen's Alan Su on a ramen option near the Convention Center.

The bright, mod-looking Yamitsuki (1028 Arch St.), now in its soft-opening phase, is among the few Philly ramen-istas to offer chicken (both the cha-shu and the broth) as an alternative to pork. There's also a vegetarian version. Apps include shishito peppers (one in eight is spicy), buns, and crispy shrimp wrapped in noodle.

Water is served in beakers.

And to ramp up the fun factor: There's a full-size Iron Man "Hulkbuster" suit of armor - in a glass case - at the entryway. Poon says he's worn it for Halloween. Also, the check at the end of the meal is tucked into a comic book.

The menu includes drinks, including fresh fruit juices, honey matcha tea, and milk bubble tea, and snow ice for dessert.

Soft-opening menu is here. Drink menu is here.

It's open from 11 a.m. through late-night. It's cash only.
