On Thursday, Aug. 22 before dusk, 2,500 culinary and culture enthusiasts - all dressed in white and toting their own tables, chairs and picnic fixings - will meet at predetermined locations. From there, they will be guided to the secret locale for the evening.
The 2013 edition of Diner en Blanc - the elegant, surprise-filled, Frenchified pop-up picnic making its repeat appearance in Philly - sold out in 24 minutes last month.
That was 1,250 pairs of tickets - gone gone gone.

All contestants agree by entering that they will abide by the rules and guidelines of Diner en Blanc Philadelphia. All must wear white to the event, and bring their own table, chairs, china and food.
Entry deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14.
The winner will be notified by 10 a.m. Aug. 15 and has 24 hours to confirm by email, or an alternate winner will be selected. Once the winner has confirmed, he or she will be sent the free code for a registration. It is the responsibility of the winner to register using the code. The prize has no cash value.
