The white list - er, wait list - is now open for Diner en Blanc, the pop-up picnic at which participants wear white and don't know the location until moments before.

In keeping with DEB's shroud of secrecy, we don't even know the exact date now.

Organizers will announce the date in June. In the meantime, past and potential guests are invited to a preview party from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 4 at the Williams-Sonoma store in the Bellevue. (No RSVP necessary.) Hosts Natanya DiBona and Kayli Moran will be there to advise what to wear, and where to find portable tables, linens and the like.

The wait list does not guarantee a spot to Dîner en Blanc, but it does ensure that wait list members will be notified when slots go on sale in early summer. Past registered members of Dîner en Blanc automatically will receive notice of the registration.

Dîner en Blanc Philadelphia debuted in 2012 at Swann Memorial Fountain in Logan Circle, and it was a sellout with 1,300 guests. Last year, more than 6,000 people joined the wait list and registration slots sold out in just 24 minutes (vs. 10 days in 2012).

On the day of the event last year, 2,550 guests popped up in the middle of the JFK Boulevard bridge.
