Jason Kelce back with first-team offensive line at Tuesday's practice

Eagles center Jason Kelce practiced with the first-team offensive line on Tuesday, a good sign in Kelce's recovery from sports hernia surgery. Kelce, who returned to practice last week on a limited basis, has not played since the Week 3 injury. He had been targeted the Nov. 10 game against the Carolina for his return, but it could come this week against the Houston Texans.

The Eagles also had Todd Herremans playing his usual spot of right guard. Herremans has been dealing with an elbow/biceps injury. He wore a long-sleeve shirt at practice, which is different for him. It might have been because he was wearing something to protect the injury. Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur did not sound concerned about the injury.

Safety Nate Allen and cornerback Brandon Boykin were absent at practice. Both players have hamstring injuries. Defensive coordinator Bill Davis said both players were day-to-day, so they're not long-term injuries. Earl Wolff practiced.

Wide receiver Jeff Maehl did not practice with an unknown injury.

Running back Darren Sproles (knee) and linebacker Mychal Kendricks (calf) both practiced.
