The Soul solidified its pass rush - just five days before the start of the 2015 season - by agreeing to a one-year deal with Curtis Young.

The 6-foot-1, 270-pounder is entering his fourth season in the AFL. Curtis began his Arena League career with the Cleveland Gladiators in 2012.

"Curtis is a versatile athlete who has the ability to bring pressure from both the 'mack' linebacker and defensive end positions," said Soul assistant head coach Phil Bogle. "He's a great addition to the defensive line and will be a serious threat to the opposing team's offense."

Young attended the University of Cincinnati were he played linebacker and was signed by the Green Bay Packers in 2010.

The Soul's season opener is against the Orlando Predators on March 29.
