The Spruce Foundation (TSF) held their 7th annual gala on Saturday, June 7 at Union Transfer. TSF is an organization that encourages philanthropy and cultivates the next generation of philanthropists. Throughout the year they host events to engage future patrons to various charitable organizations in our region to help foster relationships and serve in their committees or on their boards. TSF provides grants of $5,000 in each program area at the event. This year's recipients' were: Asian Arts Initiative (for arts), iPRAXIS (for education), Girls on the Run (for health & wellness), The Attic Youth Center (for LGBTQ).

After the program guests enjoyed a buffet dinner provided by Marathon Grill, 4th Street Deli, Shake Shake, and danced to Swift Technique's horn infused blend of funk and hip hop, playing tunes like "Super Freak", "Shakedown Street" and some of their own.
