Bruno Mars and hip-hop duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will perform at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

The Seattle-based rap team will perform their heartfelt marriage equality anthem "Same Love." Mars – whose song "Treasure" is currently number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 – will debut a brand-new single from his album Unorthodox Jukebox on the VMA stage.

Both acts will join an all-star performance lineup that includes Justin Timberlake, Kanye West (in his first VMA appearance since the infamous Taylor Swift incident), Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke.

Teen pop idols Austin Mahone and Ariana Grande will start the musical festivities with performances of their latest hits during the VMAs pre-show.

The VMAs will air on MTV at 9 p.m. EST on Sunday, August 25 live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
