8 hurt in crash involving SEPTA bus, 2 other vehicles
Injuries were not life-threatening in accident on Bustleton Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia.
Eight people suffered non-life-threatening injuries Tuesday afternoon in a chain-reaction accident involving a SEPTA bus in Northeast Philadelphia, the transit agency said.
Around 2 p.m., a southbound Route 14 bus on Bustleton Avenue was making a passenger stop near Devereaux Avenue when a van and SUV were involved in an accident. Both those vehicles then struck the front of the bus, said SEPTA spokeswoman Kristin Mestre-Velez.
The injured including five passengers on the bus, two people from the SUV, and one person from the van. They were all taken to the hospital to be treated.
The cause of the accident was under investigation.
