Philadelphia, Camden schools deal with deep freeze

Thursday's expected deep freeze has already forced officials in Camden to close its schools. In Philadelphia, school officials want students to be careful.

Camden City School District campuses will be closed Thursday in anticipation of the expected extremely cold weather. The central office, however, will be open.

In Philadelphia public schools will open at the regular time. Philadelphia School District spokesman Lee Whack, however, stressed that officials are worried about students waiting outside in the cold for buses. So, they are encouraging folks to check the school district’s transportation website.

The page will be updated every half hour beginning at 6:30 a.m. for school bus delays.
