A two-run home run in the second inning wasn’t enough for Adam Robinson, so he hit a grand slam three innings later to lead Moorestown baseball to a 10-0 win over Timber Creek on Tuesday. Robinson also had a double, while Evan Francisco held the Chargers hitless through five innings on the mound.

Buzz Martin struck out 10 through six innings to lead Cumberland past Oakcrest, 4-3. The Colts scored all four of their runs in the fifth inning, as Eddie Fleetwood, Jake Merritt and Josh Bonham each collected two hits.

Highland beat St. Mary’s (NY), 3-1, in Myrtle beach at the Ripken Experience tournament. Brian Cooey had two hits including a double and an RBI for the Tartans.

Lenape picked up two wins at the Ripken Experience tournament, downing Elyria (OH) 8-1 and Elizabeth 2-1. Cade Hunter went 3-for-6 with a solo home run in the two-game set, and teammate Joey Pence had a home run and four RBIs against Elyria.

Delran blanked Florence, 10-0. Gavin Budzyn allowed just one hit in the four innings that were played, while RJ Moten and Sean Ahrens had two hits, a run and two RBIs apiece for the Bears.

Nick Hammer had nine strikeouts and pitched a complete-game in Washington Township’s 3-2 win against Cherokee. Jake Prince had seven strikeouts through five innings for the Chiefs.

Haddon Township scored two runs in the fifth inning to come back and beat Sterling, 5-3. The Hawks added an insurance run in the sixth.

Mike Walter picked up his third win of the season, pitching a complete game in Hammonton’s 5-4 walk-off win over Holy Spirit. Mike Oliveras scored the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh.

Luke Salvo pitched a complete game, giving up four hits and two runs in Middle Township’s 6-2 win over Pitman. Salvo had two singles at the plate, while John Carlson had two doubles and a sacrifice fly.

Although they were outhit 13-7, Haddonfield was able to beat Kingsway, 8-3. The Dragons committed six errors compared to the Bulldogs’ zero.

Ethan Ziegler picked up the win as Clearview beat Vineland, 10-5.

Schalick scored 13 runs in three innings to bear Penns Grove, 17-1, through five.

Softball

Nicole Travis, Jenna Casperite and Jenna Gorman each went 2-for-4 in Delran’s 6-2 win over Maple Shade. Lindsey Cramer pitched a complete game, striking out nine. Samantha Pietrow led Maple Shade, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Annabelle Pisapia struck out 13 and gave up just three hits to lead Bordentown over Moorestown, 4-1. Annabella Marino had a solo home run in the fourth inning to put the Scotties up 2-0. Julia LaRusso allowed five hits through as many innings for the Quakers.

Kyra Fischer’s performance on the mound held Cherry Hill East scoreless in Lenape’s 8-0 win. Fischer struck out 10 in a complete-game one-hitter. Rosemarie Mirabella and Samantha Lish provided the power for the offense, combining for four hits and four RBIs.

Emily Spencer’s 16 strikeouts led Seneca over Cherry Hill West, 7-3. Spencer had two hits for the Golden Eagles as well. The Lions’ runs all came courtesy of a Meghan Davis three-run blast in the first inning. Davis had three of the team’s four total hits. Hailey Melvin had a triple for Seneca.

Shawnee was able to hold off Eastern, 10-8, as Madison McGehrin and Lindsay Durboraw comined for four hits, two home runs and seven RBIs for the Renegades. Shawnee’s lead was cut to one going into the bottom of the sixth before they added two in the inning.

Molly Kurz’ RBI single in the bottom of the seventh gave Williamstown a 4-3 walk-off win over Triton. The Braves were up 3-1 going into the top of the frame before the Mustangs brought two across the plate to even the score. Brigid Ward was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI for Williamstown.

Cherokee scored two runs in the bottom of the 10th inning to beat Washington Township, 6-5. The Chiefs tied the game at four with a run in the sixth and seventh innings. Both Karly Messina and Angelina Saverase pitched complete games for the teams.

Mary Jane Calascione held Highland to just three hits in Hammonton’s 3-0 win. Calascione pitched a complete game, striking out five. She also hit a solo home run.

Gateway scored five unanswered runs through the final four innings of play to beat Haddonfield, 5-3.

Mallory Skelly had a triple and drove in three runs to lift Sterling over Haddon Township, 10-0.

Boys’ Lacrosse

Alex Everard had five goals and four assists, leading Rancocas Valley to a 14-9 win against Oakcrest. Dan Myers had four goals for the Red Devils, while Ryan Liberty recorded a hat trick and had three assists for the Falcons.

Cherry Hill West broke a 7-7 tie going into the fourth quarter and beat Haddon Township, 12-9. Jacob Myers and Tom Coyle both had three goals for the Lions. Nate Cossaboon netted a game-high four goals for the Hawks.

AJ Pasquarello scored a game-high four goals to give Cherokee a 10-8 win over Washington Township. Gaurav Dravida had two goals and three assists, and teammate Colin Wagner scored two and dished out four assists.

Sean Beers’ three goals powered Gloucester Catholic to a close 8-6 win against Bishop Eustace.

Girls’ Lacrosse

Bella Runyan netted eight goals and Meghan Roberts had five to lead Moorestown Friends to a 18-13 win against Academy of New Church. Runyan had three assists and 11 ground balls for the Foxes, who outscored the Lions 9-5 in the second half.

Our Lady of Mercy outscored Absegami 4-1 in the final 19 minutes of play to win, 11-10. Anissa Serafine led all scorers with six goals for the Villagers including the game-winning score. Mary Meduri added three for Our Lady of Mercy.

Cherry Hill East beat Triton, 17-11, in a game that saw five players score two or more goals. Lauren Pluta had a game-high five goals for the Mustangs. Julia Cutler tallied four goals for the Cougars. Taylor Marioni, Juliane Calalo and Nicole Austin each had three. Kourtney Kaelin had 17 assists for Triton.

Jill Westerby’s four goals led Cherokee past Clearview, 11-7. The Chiefs outscored the Pioneers 7-4 in the second half.
