Boy, 3, critical in hit-and-run

A 3-year-old boy was in critical but stable condition late Wednesday after he was struck in a hit-and-run accident in North Philadelphia.

Police said the boy, whose name was not released, was hit by a burgundy minivan, possibly a Dodge Caravan, about 7 p.m. on the 2400 block of North Reese Street. He was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. No other details were immediately available.
