BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Philadelphia goalie Scott Munroe stopped 47 of 49 shots, including all 28 he faced in the third period to lead the Phantoms in a 3-2 win over the Binghamton Senators Wednesday in American Hockey League play.
The Senators owned a 28-5 advantage in shots in the final period, tying a franchise record for shots in a period.
But they failed to score after right wing Niko Dimitrakos gave Philadelphia a 3-2 lead 36 seconds into the third.
Dimitrakos finished with two goals for the Phantoms (15-22-1-2), and Eric Meloche also had a goal.
Philadelphia (5-0-0-0) rallied from a 2-1 first-period deficit.
Josh Hennessy and Jeff Heerema each had a power-play goal for Binghamton, which saw its winless skid reach six games.
Kelly Guard stopped 24 of 27 Philadelphia shots.
