Sandy victims benefiting from NJ T-shirt maker

TOMS RIVER, N.J. - What started with a few T-shirts has turned into a major Superstorm Sandy relief effort for a New Jersey shore merchant.

Scott Zabelski of Toms River began printing the shirts in the wake of Sandy as a way to help raise money for victims.

Three months later, Zabelski says his company, Blue Wave Printing, has made about 70,000 items from T-shirts to sweatshirts to dog bandannas. The items bear the slogan "Restore The Shore."

Five dollars from every T-shirt sale and $10 from every sweatshirt has been donated to Sandy relief efforts.

Zabelski tells The Asbury Park Press (http://on.app.com/WLOHr2) that nearly $500,000 has been donated since early November.
