U.S. to pull out of UNESCO

On Thursday, U.S. officials told The Associated Press that the United States is leaving UNESCO. The U.S. stopped UNESCO once the organization included Palestine as a member back in 2011. UNESCO is currently voting for a new director amidst conflicts with funding and divisions over Palestinian membership. Many saw the choice to include Palestine as the United Nations' anti-Israeli bias. But UNESCO's mission is to provide international collaboration through educational, scientific, and cultural reforms for all nations involved.
