Up to 100 students had web cam photos taken

An attorney said as many as 100 students had their picture taken with the laptop cameras in Lower Merion. The FBI is now involved.

    It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out they ( the school district) better consult the law about their actions before they chose to do this as a method of recovering stolen comuter property. I understood the part about the implanted locator beacon in computers but not the part about snapping pictures of minors. Why didn't they just enforce the rule of not allowing students to take lab tops home without paying the insurance fee. Even though it has been alleged that this student was a bit of a smart aleck it is clear the district put on their dunce caps in signing on to this method of assest retrevial and student monitoring
