ATV Adventure Area

The Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area is a proposed, 6,500 acre park made up of old coal strip-mines in Northumberland County. The park, slated to open in 2013, will be a “mecca” for off-road enthusiasts on ATVs, dirt bikes, four-wheel drive trucks and more, officials said. The park will be paid for almost entirely through grants and could bring in riders from all over the east coast. Video by Jason Nark / Daily News
