Light two pages at once
![]()
Book lights can save the, well, night when lamps are not an option, but it's so annoying to have to constantly maneuver the little lights from the left-hand to right-hand pages. Not if your book light is double-headed, a sensible solution that sensibly comes from Zelco, creator of the original Itty Bitty Book Light that started it all. The newfangled Hydra, which looks like ant antennae minus the ant, consists of two long flexible necks, each topped with a flat flexible LED light, so both sides of a book can be lighted at the same time. The necks rise from a slim base that slips onto the spine of a hardback or paperback book, kind of like a big, galumphy paper clip. The push-button beams are bright but not glary. Runs on two AAA batteries (not included).
