At Eagles parade, fans scatter ashes of loved ones or just bring their urns
Eagles fans are bringing the ashes of deceased loved ones with them to the Super Bowl victory parade.

Some Eagles fans who knew their deceased relatives would have loved to experience an Eagles Super Bowl parade made sure they did Thursday — by bringing their ashes along for the celebration.
One fan who traveled from Florida went so far as to scatter his grandfather's remains along the route.
Dustin Slaughter of Philadelphia said his dad, were he alive today, would have been among the first to line up at the Art Museum steps for the Eagles Super Bowl parade. So it only made sense, Slaughter said, to bring a small urn of his father's ashes with him for the day.
"It feels good," said Slaughter, who posted a photo of the urn on Instagram. "It feels good to have him with me for a day like today."
He said his father, Michael Slaughter, who died in 2014 at age 64, would have been "ecstatic today."
Others had the same idea.
Andrew Immordino brought the ashes of his brother, who died suddenly on New Year's Eve, to the Super Bowl as a final send off.
