The Philadelphia Wings earned a crucial 12-10 road win against the Toronto Rock at Air Canada Centre Friday night.  With this win, the wings claimed sole possession of the National Lacrosse League's (NLL) East Division lead.

"This was a huge win for us," the Wings' head coach Johnny Mouradian said. "It wasn't easy. It was a battle 'till the end. When you see ice bags on knees and bloody legs, you know these guys fought the whole way through. We just went up against the defending NLL Champions and beat them and now we're in the top spot."

Goalie Brandon Miller lead the way for the Wings, limiting the Rock to just 10 goals.  This was the second time he has held the Rock to 10 or fewer goals in less than a month. He also led the Wings to a 14-8 victory in mid-February.

Assistant Captain Dan Dawson led the Wings with three goals and three assists while forward Mike Hominuck added two pivotal goals in the second half to help hold the momentum and capture the victory and lead in East Division.

"Now is the time to really step it up," Mouradian said.  "We can focus on the positive pressure that has come from this.  We're in a great position and now we just have keep this drive to win that we've had all year."

The Wings will return home to Wells Fargo Center to play the Edmonton Rush on Saturday, March 17 at 7 p.m.
