No question, I will always have an answer
Q: What is the best question you ever got while you have been giving out advice? - Gerry from Macungie, Pa.
A: Well, I can assure you that it's not yours. You can be more creative than that, bro. Seriously, there is no best question and not one that sticks out in my mind for any reason. I've been asked a million questions since I played at Auburn, and all were about a million different topics, ranging from serious to outrageous. Sometimes a simple answer to even a complex question is the best response. There are times when I enjoy having people ask me for an opinion on sports or something in the news, but there are other times when people ask for advice on a family matter and I greatly appreciate that. One thing I can tell you is I will never shy away from a question and I will always have an answer for everything. Even if you insist on asking for hair-care advice from a beautiful bald-headed multimedia superstar.
Q: I have a son who is on Twitter but his account is protected. I really don't think I would be prying, but I am worried about what he could be saying on a social-media site? Do you think I should ask to see his account? - All a-flitter About Twitter
A: You have every right to be concerned. I assume that your son is a kid and not some fifty year old man still living in your house. As a parent there is nothing wrong with having ground rules in your house, especially when it comes to social media. There are too many horror stories in the news these days about kids posting nonsense and knucklehead comments. I'd like to think that social media sites like Facebook and Twitter give you a platform to share good information, but it's not a license to be a jackass and spew hateful comments. I've got news for anybody that posts on social media, even if you think what you're doing is private and secure or can be erased . . . it can't. There is always a way to extract information. Once you are out there it can't be retracted. Tell your son to be very careful about his social media exploits, and let him know that tweets and posts could come back someday to haunt him. I hope he gets the message.
