The Soul continued to retool its roster on Sunday by adding wide receiver Marco Thomas.

Thomas led the league in receptions (151), receiving years (1,946) and touchdowns (39) in 2014. The Western Illinois product was also named the league's Receiver of the Year for his 2014 campaign with the Iowa Barnstormers.

"We are very fortunate to have a receiver of Marco's caliber on our roster," said Soul head coach Clint Dolezel. "With [Ryan] McDaniel, [Dominique] Curry, and [Shaun] Kauleinamoku – Thomas is another veteran that can bring experience to help some of our younger receivers and will be a dangerous weapon for our offense."

Prior to arriving in Philadelphia, Thomas spent three seasons with the Barnstormers. He also split time with the San Jose SaberCats and Chicago Rush in 2011.

Thomas also spent some time in the NFL, as an undrafted free agent for the New York Giants. The 6-foot, 190-pound wideout was also a member of the New York Jets from 2007-08 and both the Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers in 2008.
