The Philadelphia Soul will open training camp for the 2014 season Feb. 22, the team announced Tuesday.

Players are scheduled to report Feb. 20 with the first practice scheduled at the NovaCare Complex in South Philadelphia two days later.

Per league rules, the team is allowed to bring 35 players to camp and must cut down to 24 before the start of the regular season. Final cuts are scheduled to take place March 8.

Every day of camp will be open to the media. The team will host a media day at the end of camp where it will announce the final 24-man roster. Dates and times of practices and media day will be announced at a later date.

“We have a great foundation set to make another championship run this season,” Soul head coach Clint Dolezel said. “We are really excited about the core group that we kept intact from the previous two seasons. We have a lot of veteran guys with experience who are eager to share their knowledge and a group of younger talent that we hope develops to make us stronger.”

The Soul have gone to the ArenaBowl each of the last two seasons and will open against the team that it lost to on both occasions, the Arizona Rattlers, at 9 p.m. March 15 in Phoenix.
