Jaworski mum on Bon Jovi's bid to buy Buffalo Bills

Ron Jaworski declined to comment on former Soul co-owner Jon Bon Jovi’s role in a group of investors attempting to the NFL team.

USUALLY LOQUACIOUS Soul co-owner Ron Jaworski declined to comment on former Soul co-owner Jon Bon Jovi being part of a group investigating possible purchase of the Buffalo Bills.

Jaworski was born and raised in the Buffalo suburb of Lackawanna, N.Y. He's revered up there and has remained close friends with Bon Jovi, who gave up his stake in the Soul following the 2008 championship season.

Nobody has more contacts and a deeper understanding of the NFL than Jaworski, who had a 16-year career and has been with ESPN since 1990.

Coincidentally, Jaworski will be in Buffalo with ESPN today previewing Bills training camp.

Bon Jovi and his group have gotten roasted in upstate New York because of speculation the group would move the Bills to Toronto. It's hard to imagine Jaworski would decline comment if that was the group's plan.

It'd be like Chuck Bednarik buying the Eagles and moving them to Calgary.
