Oh baby, what a start to the weekend for Bret Munsey.
The Soul coach's wife, Yvette, gave birth to the couples' first child, Graden Thomas, who checked in at 7 pounds, 10 ounces, 5 days ahead of his due date.
Munsey got to New Orleans on Wednesday and flew back to Philadelphia early THursday morning. The baby was born this afternoon and Munsey quickly returned to New Orleans and will rejoin the team tonight.
Munsey is 30-18 in his three seasons with the Soul and this season led it to a 13-3 regular-season record and the franchise's first championship-game berth. *
