Matt D'Orazio's trophy case just keeps getting more crowded.
D'Orazio yesterday became the first Soul signal-caller to be named the Arena Football League's quarterback of the year. D'Orazio beat out Utah's Joe Germaine, Georgia's Chris Griesen, Chicago's Russ Michna and Cleveland's Raymond Philyaw.
D'Orazio, originally signed to back up Tony Graziani, led the league with a 131.3 passer rating and a 72.4 completion percentage.
Last week, D'Orazio garnered player of the year honors by the AFL writers association.
The Soul will take on San Jose in ArenaBowl XXII in New Orleans on July 27. *
