Philadelphia Union's 2013 Major League Soccer schedule finalized

The Philadelphia Union's schedule for the year has been officially completed with the announcement of the team's local television broadcast schedule.

The Philadelphia Union's schedule for the year has been officially completed with the announcement of the team's local television broadcast schedule.

Among the highlights this year is the team's first ever opening-weekend home game. Marquee road agmes include an early-season trip to New York and a Memorial Day Weekend trip to Montréal.

There's also a four-week stretch in June in which the Union won't have to leave PPL Park.

Newly-signed defender Jeff Parke will face his old team, the Seattle Sounders, at PPL Park on May 4; and the reigning champion Los Angeles Galaxy will visit Chester on May 15.

New York will make its only appearance of the year at PPL Park on June 23, and D.C. United will visit on August 10.

There are no games on dates when the U.S. men's national team is playing World Cup qualifiers. But there are some games on weekend dates between Tuesday and Friday World Cup qualifying matches.

Ten Union games will be shown on national television, including all three games against the rival Red Bulls. All other games will be televised on Comcast SportsNet, The Comcast Network or WPVI. One of the games over the air will be shown on WPVI's secondary digital channel, the Live Well Network.

Veteran broadcaster J.P. Dellacamera returns to the PPL Park broadcast booth for play-by-play this year. He'll be joined by former Union forward Alejandro Moreno, who has moved into television after an 11-year playing career in Major League Soccer.
