Union beaten by the Rapids

Wells Thompson and Quincy Amarikwa also scored for the Rapids, who improved to 11-7-8.

Colorado goalkeeper Matt Pickens took a shutout into the 90th minute before Jack McInerney scored for the Union. The 18-year-old rookie forward has scored three goals this season.

Colorado had not allowed a goal at home for 517 minutes before McInerney scored.

The Union (7-13-6) will return home to face the Houston Dynamo on Saturday at PPL Park.
