The Union, which has been training for the last week in Mexico, played to a 2-2 exhibition draw yesterday with Chivas De Guadalajara, a member of Primera División de México, the country's highest division.
Trailing by 1-0, the Union tied the score early in the second half on a goal by 17-year-old Jack McInerney, who converted a rebound on a shot from Nick Zimmerman. McInerney also scored in the Union's 5-0 opening exhibition win in Greensboro, N.C., against the University of North Carolina.
Four minutes after the equalizer, the Union took a 2-1 lead when former Temple player J.T. Noone converted a feed from McInerney. Noone has not yet been added to the official roster.
Marco Fabián then tied the score against goalie Brian Perk midway through the second half for the Mexican team.
The Union, which will remain in Mexico until Friday, will meet the University of Guadalajara tomorrow.
After leaving Mexico, the Union will continue to train in Florida as they prepare for the opening game of their inaugural MLS season, March 25 in Seattle.
