Defender Morris staying with Kixx
The Kixx announced a deal to retain veteran defender Pat Morris, who won his second Defender of the Year award last season.
"I love playing in front of the great fans here in Philadelphia, and I'm excited to be back for my 11th season," said Morris, a product of Northeast Catholic High. "This is where I always wanted to be, and I'm glad we were able to come to terms. While I have a lot of soccer left in my legs, I hope to eventually finish my career playing with the KiXX."
Last season, Morris finished third in the league with 51 points and received his seventh career selection to the All-League Team.
The Kixx open their season on Nov. 15 on the road against La Raza de Monterrey.
